"I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart."

Kady's comment of the moment:

We had accidentally purchased some "Medium" Salsa instead of "Mild". Kady was telling us how hot it was and then said, "I wonder what "LARGE" tastes like?!"

Creed's comment of the moment:

Creed jumping up and down with excitement yelling - "Yeah, I love Open House. Woo-Hoo!!" And then, without missing a beat, looks up at me and asks, "What is Open House, by the way."

The Inevitables of Parenting

When your child wakes up in the morning and comes to greet you in the shower and you ask him or her to leave so you can have some privacy, inevitably he or she will leave the bathroom door wide open on their way out.

When your children are playing quietly and you go to make an important phone call, inevitably your angels will instantly turn into fighting, screaming maniacs the moment the person on the other end of the phone says "hello".

When your child sleeps until 8 AM Monday through Friday, inevitably he or she will be up at 6 AM on Saturday morning.

When you child is wearing a new dress for church, inevitably she will be wearing that red kool-aid she had in Children's Church.

When there is an adult show that does not involve animation on TV that you would like to watch, inevitably your child is out and bed and NOT cooperating with bedtime that evening.

When one evening your child seems extra snugly and spends most of the evening cuddling with you and smothering you with kisses and even talks you into sharing your ice cream treat with him, inevitably the next morning he or she will wake up with the flu!

When you schedule a photography appointment for your son or daughter and the day before the appointment he or she manes their face to the point no Photo-shop can fix, inevitably you either cancel the appointment or pay for pictures that tell a story all their own.

And when you love your child, hug your child, feed your child, play with your child, read to your child, comfort your child, bathe your child, hold your child, diaper your child, kiss your child, dress your child, pray with your child, and rock your child, inevitably they will grow up right before your eyes. And as much as I hate to see them grow up, I am pretty proud of the people they are becoming.
