"I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart."

Kady's comment of the moment:

We had accidentally purchased some "Medium" Salsa instead of "Mild". Kady was telling us how hot it was and then said, "I wonder what "LARGE" tastes like?!"

Creed's comment of the moment:

Creed jumping up and down with excitement yelling - "Yeah, I love Open House. Woo-Hoo!!" And then, without missing a beat, looks up at me and asks, "What is Open House, by the way."

The Final Night of Vacation

The trip home from Colorado was OK - just depressing to be leaving the mountains. The kids were good and we actually made it to St. Joseph, Missouri before we stopped. For most of you - you are thinking - you were 3 and a half hours from home, why stop? Well - we had promised our kids a hotel with a pool that evening and we wanted to make good on that promise. So, we found a hotel right off the Interstate with a water park. The kids were in heaven. There were three small waterslides for them, a bucket that dumped water on your head, one lazy river, a water basketball area, a large and fast waterslide for daddy and a hot tub for mommy. We were all excited! It actually was a great stay for our family and we had a great time. We even got up in the morning and hit the slides again before we headed home!

Kady coming out of one of the slides. The water was literally a foot deep, but they still insisted on either Chris or I catching them at the bottom.

As you can tell by the haze in this picture, the waterpark area was a balmy 86 degrees inside of it - so the camera lens was fogged over most of the evening. But - it was fun. Everyone enjoyed the slides - even daddy!

Kady and Creed going down another slide. Notice them plugging their noses. There is a SMALL stream of water coming down at the entrance of the slide, so they held their noses so they wouldn't get anything in their nose! Too silly!
