OK - for those of you who have little or no interest in the cute things my kids are saying and doing - you want to skip this blog. This is more for me and those grandparents that just can't get enough.
Creed has still not perfected saying two syllable words. Some - he does great. Others - he just says one syllable and that is good enough for him. An example - you ask - well how about a few.
- "Op" is open.
- "Emp" is empty.
- "Like" is no like or I don't like!
- "Buck" is buckle or unbuckle.
He also has some words that only a mommy can understand.
- "Maa-Maac" is Vacuum
- "Blank" is Blanket
- "Nana" could mean apple or banana or orange - take your pick and if you pick the wrong you could have a very unhappy little boy.
- "Dies" means outside or inside.
- "Pa-ba" is potty
- "Wa-Wa" is water
However, Creed has made some strides in the speaking area.
- His first sentence was "He Pooped".
- He also says two and three word sentences like - "Daddy work" and "Clean up Kady"
- Also - "Kady awake", "mama up", "wawa hot"
The achievement that his daddy is most proud of is that he will raise his leg and toot and them blame someone else for his stink. And yes, his daddy taught him that one.
Kady just says the cutest things.
- Chris had hurt himself again and needed some "assistance" in pouring the peroxide over the wound. Kady looked at Chris and said "This is a two job"
- She tells stories using words like "actually", "considering", even "assuming" correctly in her stories.
- We were talking about Memorial Day and why we celebrate it and she said to me - "Well, mom, all those people are remembering us in heaven too." And yes - I am sure they are.
- She had juice in her cup one night and she knows she is not supposed to drink juice after supper. So she went and asked Chris, "Can you turn my juice into milk so I can drink it?"
- Kady was downstairs in the Children's Dept with me one Tuesday evening and found a puppet in the room. She picked it up and put her hand in it and started moving the mouth. She looked at me with disappointment and said "Mom, it's not talking, it's not working, this one must be broken."
So - Just a little smiles to send your way!
We made Rice Krispie Treats - a first for both my kids. (I know, they are deprived!)
Anyway - they don't normally eat this way, but they didn't like the way the "stickies" stuck to their hands.
Creed making a silly face.
Kady following suite.
A few bubbly, clean smiles!
