Let's see - we last left off yesterday afternoon with Creed's nap. After posting Kady and I ran up to Noah's Ark - an actual huge ark that is full of stuffed animals of all kinds and other things for little ones. Kady LOVES this place and insists on going each time we are in Estes. It is really neat, however it is also VERY pricey. So, we go in with an understanding each time and yes, everytime we still have to have a discussion before leaving the store on what we will and will not be getting.
Chris and I ran away later that afternoon and headed downtown - leaving the kiddos with Bill and Linda. We LOVED being able to shop without having to worry about what store we can go in and what store we could not brave without having to duck tape our children to us so that they don't break anything. We even bought a few things that were on sale and had a good time.
That evening was just a nice evening in - which our kids needed and into bed. We are still recovering form our LONG trip out and late nights already.
This morning after getting to sleep in and taking a LONG shower - (another wonderful thing about vacation) Chris and I took the kids to a miniature golf course. They had a BLAST. We decided at the first hole that we SHOULD NOT have paid for Chris and I to play. We should have just let the kids play. Each time we hit a ball, they would either run to get it and bring it back to us or they would kick it!! Kady figured out the game pretty quickly - Creed, well, I don't think he ever really got it - but we had fun.
We then took the kids to the playground at the school. It is REALLY nice with a lot of different and new things. The kids had a blast and it was nice to just have a fun morning with them. We are now off to Cheyenne WY to spend the evening with some friends. If you think of it - say a prayer for Chris - he is heading out about 1 am Wednesday morning to climb Long's Peak with his dad. They invited me to go but let's see - I am out of shape, the elevation is not treating me too well this trip and I like my sleep - so no, not this time. We will see how they fare and then maybe next time - we will see.
Kady inside Noah's Ark. This is just a small corner of it - it is HUGE.
Kady and daddy enjoying some snuggles and TV before supper and bed.
Creed and Kady enjoying mini-golf. Don't they hold their clubs SO well!!!
Posing in front of the waterfall - my little golfers!
Kady got SO excited everytime she got the ball in the hole - I caught her in mid-air on this picture!
This is the picture at the 18th hole. Yes, we expected this - but just thought you might enjoy the response we got when the kids found out they were NOT getting their ball out of the hole this time.
