"I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart."

Kady's comment of the moment:

We had accidentally purchased some "Medium" Salsa instead of "Mild". Kady was telling us how hot it was and then said, "I wonder what "LARGE" tastes like?!"

Creed's comment of the moment:

Creed jumping up and down with excitement yelling - "Yeah, I love Open House. Woo-Hoo!!" And then, without missing a beat, looks up at me and asks, "What is Open House, by the way."

Pumpkin Carving Time

I LOVE fall. The weather is crisp and cool and the leaves rustle when you walk in them. Tonight we got to enjoy one of my favorite things to do in the fall - CARVE PUMPKINS. We started this tradition when Kady was about 2 and will probably continue it until we just can't do it anymore. Believe it or not - the first pumpkin my husband ever carved was also Kady's first pumpkin!! The kids decided Creed's pumpkin would be the "silly" pumpkin and Kady's would be the "scary" pumpkin. We give the kids "spoons" to help them dig out the seeds - but it doesn't take long until we are all digging in up to our elbows in "pumpkin goo"! Unfortunately, Creed would try and "shake off" the slime and it ended up all over him and the kitchen - but he had a good time! Here are some pictures of our night. Happy FALL!!

Creed diggin in.

Kady looks like she is having a good time!

Great job on both! Just too, too cute--kids and pumpkins, too! None of our kids learned to do this till after they married--their parents had no spare money, no artistic ability, no patience.

Ewwwww!!!! I hate pumpkin carving!!! Kady's must have had a ton of goo in it, that sucker was big! We carved tonight. Yuck. Thank heavens for Allie, she likes to scoop out the nastiness! Chris did a very nice job! We need to get him and B in a pumpkin carving contest!
