This weekend was our County's annual Fall Color Drive. If you are an adult, you enjoy driving around the county, seeing the fall colors on the trees and visiting vendor stands full of food, crafts and anything else you can imagine. If you are a child, you enjoy getting food that mom and dad normally don't let you have and watching ALL the people. We had a great time today. The kids were GREAT - not too much whining - which always helps. The weather was PERFECT and we had a lot of fun together as a family. And I even got a few things to "decorate" the kitchen. So all in all - a very good day.
We went to a local store that had a small "pumpkin patch" where the kids could wander and find pumpkins. Creed wanted to pick them ALL up - no matter how heavy and big they were.
They finally choose a pumpkin. Kady got a HUGE pumpkin - look at the size of the stem! and Creed got one that was just right for him. Now - perfecting the "family" picture is another story. Posing and getting everyone to smile and look at the camera at the same time is something we still need to work on. Obviously.
I LOVE this picture. When we were going back to the van - Creed decided to check out this "statue". He looked right up and it and said - "Jesus. Jesus crying mommy." I am not sure how he KNEW it was Jesus - but he knew. Amazing.
Kady even got to enjoy a pony ride. She hopped right on and off she went! She is going to be my "country" girl.

How fun! It's so cute how fascinating pumpkins are to our little munchkins! I miss the deep rich colors of fall in Illinois. It's always so pretty this time of year!
