We again enjoyed a trip out to Colorado this summer. We STILL love Colorado and still dream of the day we could actually make our home there - but until then, we will take the few short weeks we get to enjoy there.
Instead of telling you about our entire two weeks, I'll just let you look at our pictures and give you a little synopsis of our vacation.

We got there on Monday morning after driving all night and on Tuesday morning Chris took for a hike on Flat Top Mountain with his dad and Uncle. He normally would wait a few days to acclimate to the elevation - but the trip needed to be done, so up they went. Here is a picture of the view on the Mountain at sunrise. Beautiful isn't it?

After the guys came down the mountain, they met the rest of us at
Sprague Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park. The kids were ready to explore and just "happened" upon this creek.

The kids and I went for a short walk around
Sprague Lake. They found a rock to climb and I found a good photo opportunity. (By the way - that is
Kady and Creed's cousin Jonah with them in case you are from my side of the family)

The kids found a bridge that the creek ran under and of course - enjoyed being kids and shooting me a few "silly" faces.

We wandered upon a mother duck and her ducklings. The kids thought they would join in the fun! It sure was cute!!
