"I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart."

Kady's comment of the moment:

We had accidentally purchased some "Medium" Salsa instead of "Mild". Kady was telling us how hot it was and then said, "I wonder what "LARGE" tastes like?!"

Creed's comment of the moment:

Creed jumping up and down with excitement yelling - "Yeah, I love Open House. Woo-Hoo!!" And then, without missing a beat, looks up at me and asks, "What is Open House, by the way."

Insane? Not Yet!!

We are on day five of consecutive snow days and I must admit my sanity is slowly disappearing. It is not that the 8 children that have taken over my home the last 5 days are misbehaving - they have been pretty good for the most part. I mean come on, we have all been cooped up in my little house for 5 days straight with only a few moments in the "outside world". We have played all the playdoh, games, coloring, crafts, and superheroes we can handle. It is torture to these little bodies to have over 2 feet of snow to play in just outside my door and it be SO cold that we cannot even enjoy it. Even snow freezes at sub-zero temperatures. (Just in case you wondered)
But - there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Tonight - my hubby and I are "getting away" from all the munchkins this evening and spending an evening with other ADULTS at our small group get-away. For the last year, we have been blessed with a great group of couples that we meet with once a month. We all serve in our church in some way and do not always have the opportunity to be a part of a Sunday School class or other small group. So, we decided about a year ago - that we needed to minister to ourselves as well as ministering to others. Tonight - we have rented out one of the hunting lodges in our area (since no one is there this time of the year anyway) and we are spending the night there. (We are just hoping we all can get there. As of last night, the highway was closed, but we are going to plow our way through;)
So - unless you want to know what we have done inside all week, I really have NOTHING to blog about. Sad, isn't it! But - we are hoping that on Monday life will get back to normal and we can "resume" life as we know it. Until then, have a good weekend!!
