The Stand Off

You remember it. We all experienced it. We all lost the war. But we all fought the battle. Kady learned tonight that when Mom and Dad say "you will eat two more bites of that Ham before you get up" - we mean it. I really expected a MAJOR battle, but once Chris and I filled her in on stories of our own battle - she relented pretty quickly. I think she was a little surprised to learn that even her mom and dad had played the game and knew the tricks. Chris caught her taking a ant-sized bite and then beginning to "accidentally" drop the rest of the floor. He let her know we knew that move and we would be ready for that maneuver. We then explained to her that we would check napkins, pockets, and anything else that we had tried when we were younger. Poor girl - she doesn't have a chance with us - we were just too rotten when we were kids! We know all the tricks already!!
