"I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with all your heart."

Kady's comment of the moment:

We had accidentally purchased some "Medium" Salsa instead of "Mild". Kady was telling us how hot it was and then said, "I wonder what "LARGE" tastes like?!"

Creed's comment of the moment:

Creed jumping up and down with excitement yelling - "Yeah, I love Open House. Woo-Hoo!!" And then, without missing a beat, looks up at me and asks, "What is Open House, by the way."

The Week Long Christmas - Be prepared for a LONG Blog!!

Christmas is Over - but it sure has been TONS of fun!! Here are a few pictures to let you in on the excitement that occurred in our house this year!

Christmas is not Christmas without sugar cookies!
(At least that is how it works at our house!)
I found a recipe for egg less sugar cookies and the kids dug right in! They tasted great! A little too great for my expanding waistband.

We always have a Christmas party at daycare. Here is Creed opening his presents from Jaden. Not the best photo - but he was excited to get some "Lightnin Queen" cars.

Kady opening her presents at the daycare party.

On Christmas Eve, we have a tradition of sprinkling some "reindeer dust" on the ground so the reindeer can have a treat when they come to our house that evening.

Kenton, Creed, Kady and Jonah at the Christmas Eve soup supper at Grandma S. The kids were all excited talking about the "expected visitor" that evening.

It took Creed a little while to realize that this Bicycle was HIS! He just kept looking at it and "looking for his present from Santa". Once he realized it was his - we COULD NOT keep him off of it. He didn't care about looking through his stocking or opening other presents - he just wanted to ride his bike through the house!

Kady and her present from Santa - a "pseudo American Girl doll". The real thing was more than our budget would allow, so we found a look-a-like at Toys R Us and bought a book and outfit from the American Girl store. At this point, she does not know the difference and this "solution" worked - we will see if we can pull this off as she gets older!

The Christmas disaster after the kids ripped through their presents. And yes, I HAD to clean it up before we could do too much playing.

One of the few pictures we have of Creed. He is not very cooperative at posing at this age. We bribed him telling him he couldn't open any presents until he posed for a picture. Hey, this mom is not above bribing!

Kady and her cousin Jonah posing for a picture before we prepare to open presents at Grandma S. As you can tell, we didn't need to bribe them.

Since it has been SO warm - Chris took Kady and Creed out Friday morning and let them ride their bikes.

There is a story behind this picture. Creed was playing in one of the toy bins at the church we have our annual Christmas dinner before heading to the family farm. Creed decided he would get into the bin and he could NOT get out. He tried and all the other kids tried to help him out - but they just couldn't figure it out. I came over to rescue him - but only after a few pictures!!

Kady with some of her cousins at the Farm. Dylan, Jonah, Isaiah, Kenlea, Kenton, Kaitlyn, (Creed's forehead) Kadynce and Dylan.

Our family preparing for the Christmas story.

Creed playing with his gift he got on the farm. A motorcycle. And there is NO volume control!! Who would do such a thing!

No volume control, but he seemed to be so fascinated with it!
